Prezi Your Presentation

Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. The zoomable canvas makes it fun to explore ideas.

Prezi is used as platform for bridging linear and non-linear information, and as a tool for both for free-form brainstorming and structured presentation. Text, images, videos and other presentation media are placed upon the canvas, and can be grouped together in frames. Users then designate the relative size and position between all presentation objects and may pan and zoom in and between these objects. For linear presentations, users can construct a prescribed navigation path. If you can’t imagine what that looks like, go to Prezi.com and look at some of the featured Prezis.

Prezi is not for everyone – but for some of you it will add a new tool to set you apart from your peers – by moving you from presenting in 2D to 2.5D space.

Leveraging Virtual Meeting Technology for Learning - March 15, 2012 and March 21, 2012

Times are pretty tough everywhere, and as we all know, the training budget is usually one of the things that gets cut first. More for less, more for less is the mantra. So, how do those who are developing and delivering training achieve successful learning outcomes on a ‘no-travel/no-frills’ training budget?

The Virtual Instructor-Led Training (vILT) capability within such virtual meeting providers as WebEx is an excellent solution that can be as effective as – or even more effective – than a face-to-face course! Are you skeptical? Then this program package is for you!

Dr. Sue Ebbers, CEO of LuminEssence Change by Design, is teaming up with colleague Bill Heacock, principal of Heacock, Perez and Associates in Gainesville, FL to provide a TWO FOR ONE PRICE package to give you the tools you need to develop and deliver highly-effective skills-based training.

Sue’s March 15 Program

For our program on Thursday, March 15, Sue will talk attendees through her two recent initiatives with GE Energy where she coupled PreWork activities and vILT session to great success. Through creative use of print media and the WebEx Meeting Center set of tools, she modeled conversations, decision-making, and other soft skills where participants practiced these skills virtually. In this March 15 program you will:

  • Learn the model Sue used to make sure the learning design was effective.
  • Overview her approach to using the powerful medium of storytelling to make learning ‘stick’.
  • Provide you with design tips on how to ensure that your training.

But that’s not all! Only for those of you who attend this program, you will be provided the access information to attend Bill Heacock’s one-hour vILT Wednesday, March 21, from 12 noon to 1PM. Bill will show you specifically how to use the tools of WebEx to make sure your vILT trainings will be successful. Read what you’ll learn from Bill’s highly interactive webinar on On-Line Facilitation Skills which is in high demand with Blue Chip companies throughout the world. If you are a presenter, an online trainer, or even a meeting chair, this training is for you!

Bill’s March 21 Program

According to surveys, 87% of persons who attend on-line meetings or training sessions admit to multi-tasking at some point during the event. Such sessions are often completely passive affairs for the participants, as they read slides and listen to a disembodied voice. This webinar teaches and models techniques that will forever change this passive mode of on-line presentation, addressing the following:

  • Can “virtual” meeting or training actually be better than traditional face-to-face?
  • Strategies to minimize on-line distractions
  • How to use online tools to create an engaging and interactive environment

Logistics: After the March 15 program, participants will receive an invitation via e-mail and be directed to the appropriate web site to participate in the session.
