Tallahassee ASTD has rescheduled the "Best Practices on Improving
Training to Meet Market Demands" for Thursday April 30,
2009.
Let's face it. Who do we know professionally that
isn't struggling right now in these challenging economic
times? Most of us are having to cut budgets, make do,
and stretch our training dollars T..H..I..N in order to
meet our organization's basic needs!
We at
ASTD believe we are stronger together than we are by
ourselves! And we all have great ideas based on our
experience and training that deserve to be heard by the
larger community. It is in that spirit that we offer our
March program:
'Best Practices
on Improving Training to Meet Market
Demands'
The
Format
Facilitated roundtable discussions focused on a
theme where you share YOUR ideas.
We'll provide you
in advance with a set of focusing questions for each
roundtable so you can come 'primed and
ready'!
The
Themes
1) How to Stretch Your Training Dollars
2)
Networking in Tough Times
3) Motivating Employees in
an Environment with Limited Resources
4) Leveraging Generational Differences to Succeed
(facilitated by Tracie Egert, who presented in February
on Generational Differences)
5) Harnessing the Power of Informal
Learning
The
Result
1) During the event, facilitators will assemble a
bullet list of brainstormed recommendations from each
group.
2) They'll review them the last 10 minutes of
the rogram.
3) THEN, we'll send it out to members to
use as they forge forward in these challenging
times.
Together we can achieve what can never be
achieved
individually!
