Meet The Board |

President:
Suzanne Ebbers, Ph.D.
Dr. Suzanne Ebbers is President/CEO of
LuminEssence Change by Design,
an award-winning performance improvement and instructional design
company. Her work is deeply rooted in psychology, education,
communication and business. She has specific expertise in all
aspects of health and behavior change, especially health
disparities, Prevention, PTSD, and obesity. Dr. Ebbers is one of a
handful of experts on using avatars for social learning. She is
married with four children and a daughter-in-law. She does Tai Chi,
gardens, cooks gourmet, and trend-watches politics and technology.

VP Programs:
Amanda AllenAmanda
Allen works for the Department of Financial Services as an
operations and management consultant. She has an M.S. in
Instructional Systems from Florida State University with a focus in
Performance Improvement and Human Resource Development. She also has
a Certificate in Online Distance Learning. Amanda has served on the
Board in various capacities including Director-At-Large and VP of
Membership. She is a Tallahassee native and enjoys volunteering in
the community.

Past President: Denise
Wilson
Denise Wilson is the Director of
Corporate Development at Capital City Bank. She has been a
workplace learning professional for over 15 years and has over
25 years experience in Sales and Sales Management. Denise
earned her HPI Certification in 2006 and is passionate about
performance improvement. Her husband and two sons keep her
busy and she is active in the community.

VP Communications and Secretary:
Monica Lazo
Monica Lazo
works for Capital City Bank as a Sales Training Specialist.
She graduated with a Masters degree in Instructional Systems Design
from Florida State University (FSU) in 2002. Since then Monica
has worked in a variety of capacities within the training arena.
She has worked as an instructional designer, creating materials for
both instructor-led and web-based courses. She has also
facilitated courses developed by her and others. Monica enjoys
spending time with her husband, friends and two dogs.

Vice President of Finance:
Laura Kerney
Laura Kerney works for the Department of
Management Services as a Research and Training Specialist. She is
actively involved in the Statewide Agency Collaboration Group and
Training Managers group. She is a recent graduate student of the
Instructional System's Human Resource Development masters program at
Florida State University. During her studies at FSU, she served as
Treasurer of a community service organization for two years. She is
also recently engaged, enjoys arts and crafts, and volunteering in
the community.

VP Membership:
Jennifer Sweeney Colvin
Jennifer is a Recruiter and Trainer for RuffaloCODY,
the recognized leader in providing strategic fundraising and
enrollment management services to non-profit organizations. She
graduated in 2001 from Troy University with her BA in Business
Administration. Jennifer has been in the non-profit fundraising
world for over 10 years with an emphasis in training for over 6
years. She enjoys spending time with family, scrapbooking, and
reading.

VP Technology and Webmaster:
Neal Meadows, Ed.D.Dr. Neal Meadows
recently retired as the Administrator of Research and
Development for the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium. He has 7
years in the wholesale and retail sales business, 33
years of service in education teaching and delivering professional development to
Florida educators.
He has also developed web based content learning systems, curriculum
products, and evaluation tools; and administered over 40 state
and national projects. Neal graduated from the University
of West Florida with a BS Degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Diversity Studies.
Current activities include project writing, strategic plan
development, and website development for professional organizations,
businesses, and governmental agencies.

Director At-Large:
Frank Broen
Frank Broen is President of Teach America. He has produced multimedia materials with Teach America since 1979, including video, interactive presentations, face-to-face training events, web sites, web based tool kits, webinars, and innovative solutions to transportation planning challenges. He serves as a member of the Transportation Research Board AHB70 Access Management Committee, TRB Council of Communication Coordinator's Committee and board member of the Quincy Music Theatre. An active member of the Centenary Methodist Church, he works in Quincy from a house built in 1904.

Director At-Large:
Dale WeeksDale is Senior
Executive Officer for the Florida Department of Revenue. His
primary role is serving as the agency's chief business process and
benchmarking leadership officer, with an oversight
responsibility for integrating all programs, within the
context of the internationally proven Malcolm Baldrige Business
Performance Excellence management framework.

Director At-Large Paul S. Brawner,
AIP
Paul is Director of Professional Development for NAIFA–Florida. He is responsible for development and oversight of professional development programs, such as continuing education and career advancement. Paul is active in the Tallahassee NAIFA-FL chapter, and is a Past President of both the Brevard Country NAIFA and ASTD chapters. Paul is a graduate of Warner Southern College, a Florida Christian school specializing in adult education, where he received his Bachelors in Management.
